AMS 40
Structural Epoxy Adhesive

AMS 40 is an adhesive liquid with high viscosity, used to assemble all kind of flat material together. It is a very good adhesive for composite on composite, wood on composite, and aluminium on aluminium. With regard to aluminium, it can successfully be used to glue aluminium honeycomb to aluminium flat panel.

For most materials, no primer is required, provided the surfaces to be glued are clean, sanded and free of dust. To be certain primer can be applied in very thin layers.

Primer for wood, or foam : use our WOOD RX with a brush

Primer for steel, aluminium or composites : use our ED 404 with a spray gun

You must ensure, AMS 40 is completely applied to all the surface areas which are to be glued, apply a steady pressure, in order to keep a regular film of adhesive between the two surfaces to be glued ( 300 to 600 µ).

It is very important to respect the following ratios between resin and hardener

System
  Resin Hardener
